Gayle A. Kingsbury, 73, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS. There will be no funeral service. A family led celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 20, 2025, at Rosebud’s. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Junction City Animal Shelter.
Gayle was born June 28, 1951, in Red Cloud, NE the son of Arden Harold and Wilma Eltha (Wilkerson) Kingsbury. Gayle attended school in Smith Center, Norton, and Junction City, KS. Gayle enjoyed painting cars and doing home remodeling. He was an excellent painter having won several car awards in his younger years. He was an electrician in this community working for several different companies for over 35 years. He had a green thumb always able to save any plant. Gayle believed that every stray cat should have a home and many found a home with him. One of his greatest joys was spending time in the company of his friends.
Survivors include his life partner of 30 years, Debra Guy of the home; his daughter, Angie Sawyer of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Rolland Bostelmann of Emmett, KS; two sisters, Ardena Carlyon and her husband, John of Junction City, KS; Lana Henning of Port St. Lucie, FL and many niece and nephews.
