MANHATTAN - Kansas State University continues to spread suicide prevention and mental health awareness by partnering with 'The Bandana Project.'

THRIVE Navigators* are hosting five training sessions during spring semester due to the increased demand for open training.

Individuals and groups are encouraged to sign-up to attend a training session.

Training sessions have already started, with the first one being held on January 31st.

Future training dates include: February 21, March 21, April 11, and April 25. Sign up for one of the training sessions here.

Students will learn how to recognize and respond to signs of distress in their peers.

On campus resources, resource cards and a green bandana will be provided at training. The green bandana is intended to be tied to a backpack as a sign of solidarity.

*The THRIVE Navigators, a departmental student organization under the leadership of Lafene Health Center, are dedicated to bringing awareness to mental health resources on campus as well as reducing the stigma that surrounds mental health.
