Brian S. Goochey, 67, of Junction City, passed away Monday evening, June 19th, at Good Shepherd Hospice House, in Manhattan.
Brian was born in Burwell, Nebraska on February 22, 1956, the son of the late Edna Fay (Irion) and Vern Louis Goochey. Brian graduated in 1974 from the Burwell High School . He was a carpenter for many years, but later on he was a cab driver in Junction City. In his spare time was an avid history buff. He had a quote "If you don't want a sarcastic answer, don't ask a stupid question."
Brian is survived by a daughter; his sister, Laurie B. Culver, of Junction City, two brothers, Marlon (Gloria) Goochey, of San Antonio; Steven (Susan) Goochey, Burwell, NE and his brother-in-law, Don (Sandy) Culver of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Kendall.
The family requests any donations be directed to the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research - KSU.
A graveside inurnment service was yesterday (June 25th) 2023 at the Fairview Cemetery, near Ft. Riley. Service arrangements were in the care of Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, Manhattan.
