Francis B. "Frank" Gluck, 83, of Milford, Kansas, passed away on
Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Wakefield Care and Rehab in Wakefield,
Kansas. Cremation will take place. At Frank's request, there will be no
memorial service planned. Memorial contributions are suggested to be
given to the Milford Nature Center, American Diabetes Association and
the Joyful Rescues in Cuba, New York.
Frank was born July 1, 1939, in Olean, New York, the son of George J. and Gertrude (Smith) Gluck.
Frank
worked forty seven years as a draftsman, machine operator and
inspector. He worked for Clark Brothers later known as Dresser-Rand. He
enjoyed growing tomatoes and sharing his crop with his neighbors and
friends. He also enjoyed watching birds, squirrels, turkeys and
especially the rabbits in his Milford yard. In his younger years, he
enjoyed deer hunting.
On May 11, 1968, he married Donna Baker in Olean, New York.
Survivors
include his wife Donna of Milford, Kansas; one son, Darrin J. Gluck of
Excelsior Springs, Missouri; two daughters, Stacey (Ron) Burfict of Clay
Center, Kansas and Carey (Scott) Smith of Milford, Kansas; one brother,
Gary Gluck of Cuba, New York; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nancy
and Jerry George of Arcade, New York; seven grandchildren, Kalynn,
Jessica, Diana, Timothy, Chandra, Megan and Elisabeth; five
great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, two sisters, Sandra Carpenter and Carole
Rought; one brother-in-law Warren Baker; one sister-in-law Judy
(Burdick) Gluck and one daughter-in-law Beverly (Dawson) Gluck.
Cremation has taken place.
