A little before 8 a.m. on Monday, crew from the Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to Howie's Recycling at 625 S. 10th Street in Manhattan, for a report of a structure fire. Crews found a pile of items for recycle including vehicles and appliances on fire. It was quickly extinguished with no injuries. The smoke was visible for miles.
