Julia Marie Adams, 70, of Junction City, Kansas died on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Valley View Senior Life Center. 

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Episcopal Church of the Covenant with The Very Reverend Steven Lipscomb officiating. Her cremated remains will be buried with her husband Jerry at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Episcopal Church of the Covenant Community Meal Fund c/o the church.

Julia was born September 10, 1954, in Junction City, Kansas the daughter of Wesley Earl and Reatha Jean (Stevens) Olbera.

Julia was a paralegal in Junction City, Topeka and Kansas City. She graduated from William H. Wells High School in Chicago with the class of 1972. She later graduated from Cloud County Community College. 

Julia loves the country band Alabama. She would drive her car across the country to see their concerts. Sometimes, she went with her sister Sharon, other times with close friends, and a few times by herself. The highlight of the concerts was when she actually got to meet them and have her picture taken with them! That is what excited her the most. 

In Junction City, Julia worked for the public defenders office and various law firms. She loved horses, dogs and gardening. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Covenant. Julia loved spending time with her family. 

She married Jerry Lee Adams on August 28, 2004. He died March 26, 2015.

Other survivors include one brother, Bill Vaughn and his wife Linda of Topeka, Kansas; two sisters, April Gromlovits and her husband Timothy and Sharon Davis and her husband Chuck both of Junction City, Kansas; sister Christina and her family; one niece, Ashley Konesko and her husband Matt; five nephews, Cameron Davis and his wife Migyeong Song, Wes Prochniewski and his wife Jennifer, Roscoe Prochniewski, Joey Prochniewski and his wife Kathy and Tyler Gromlovits; step-father, Rudy Olbera.
