RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating two cases of alleged domestic violence in Manhattan.
Just after 2a.m. Monday. officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal restraint and criminal deprivation of property in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 35-year-old woman reported a 32-year-old man hit her causing significant injury, restrained her and withheld property from her. Kaleb Murphy, 32, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, criminal restraint, domestic battery, and criminal deprivation of property. Murphy is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Just before 11p.m. Monday, officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery, robbery, violation of a protection order, and theft in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department Activity Report.
A 36-year-old woman reported a 39-year-old man violated a protection order, battered her, and took her property by force. Evan Lied, 39, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, robbery, violation of a protection order, and theft. Lied is being held on a $20,000 bond.
