Postponements and cancellations

Due to a rise in COVID-19 conditions and staffing shortages, all Geary County Schools will be closed Friday, January 14. The Devin Center and Larry Dixon Center will remain open.

Initially Junction City High School students were off on Friday and it was a teacher work day, but now all schools will be closed.

According to a USD 475 social media release Junction City High School athletic events scheduled for Topeka, Wichita, and Hays on Friday evening and Saturday will continue as planned. School will not be in session on Monday, January 17, to observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

School will resume as normal on Tuesday, January 18, unless notified otherwise.

There will be no school for all Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 students on Friday, January 14, due to staffing shortages caused by COVID-19. Monday, January 17 is a federal holiday. School will resume on Tuesday, January 18.

Manhattan High boys and girls basketball games at Seaman have been postponed.
