Lorna M. Craft, age 83, of Blue Rapids, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Blue Valley Senior Living in Blue Rapids.

Lorna was born on September, 19, 1938, on her family’s farm near Wheaton.  She is the daughter of LeRoy F. and Minnie E. (Holder) Kenworthy.  She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1956.  On September 20, 1959, she married Harold E. Craft at the Methodist Church in Frankfort.  He passed away in 2010.

Lorna had worked as a bus driver for the Valley Heights school district for over forty years.  In addition to driving the bus, she also worked as a cook at the school and later as the Activities Director at Blue Valley Senior Living.

Lorna’s life revolved around two things, her family and Valley Heights.  In addition to driving a school bus, she was a proud supporter of the kids whether it was sports, band or field trips.  She also loved her sports, especially Valley Heights, K-State and the Kansas City Royals.

Survivors include her two children: Jenni (Pierce) Holliman of Waterville, Janet (Robert Clark) Fencil of Olathe, a brother Bob (Jane) Kenworthy of Frankfort, three grandchildren: Laney, Teri Jo and Robert and by seven great-grandchildren.  

Preceding Lorna in death were her parents, husband, Harold, a grandson Andrew Fencil, son-in-law Brad Worthington and six siblings: Norma Burton, Julius Kenworthy, Ralph Kenworthy, Art Kenworthy, Junior Kenworthy and Howard Kenworthy.

Graveside services are at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Fairmont Cemetery with Pastor Brad Wicks officiating.  Prerecorded music is to include “Orange Blossom Special”, “Teddy Bear” and the “Wabash Cannon Ball”.  Honorary Bearers include:  Terre Carter, Jim Osborne, Doug Kenworthy, Bob Kenworthy and Chad Kenworthy. Inurnment is at Fairmont Cemetery in Blue Rapids.

Guests are asked to meet on the Circle in Blue Rapids and to follow the school bus when it arrives, about 9:50 a.m., for memorial drive around the circle and then to Fairmont Cemetery.  Please bring a lawn chair.
