Diane Marie Swarthout, age 69, died August 23, 2022, at her home in Clay Center, Kansas. She was born to Mitchell Sr. and Isabell (Kingman) Baldwin in Corning, New York on February 1, 1953. Diane grew up in New York and graduated from Dundy High School. She later went on to Cloud County Community College where she earned and Associates in Applied Science degree. Diane married Clifford Swarthout Sr. on July 3, 1971. She worked as a certified nurse's aide for home health and a certified medication aide at Medical Lodge in Clay Center as well as Leonardville Nursing Home. Diane also delivered the newspaper for several different newspapers. She enjoyed fishing and coloring, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Eagles. A Celebration Of Life will take place on September 7, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
