Joseph Edward "Joe" Latimer, 70, Manhattan, KS, died Monday, February 21, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. Cremation will take place. A private family service with military honors will take place at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Joseph was born July 7, 1951, in Schenectady, NY, the son of John Joseph and Georgiana (Elber) Latimer, Sr. Joe served in the United States Army until his retirement. After his retirement, he worked as foreman for Kansas Building Trades. He enjoyed traveling and helping his wife Joyce with her photography work. He married Joyce Friday August 20, 1970. Survivors include his wife Joyce of the home in Manhattan, KS; two sons, John Joseph Latimer, III of Jonesboro, TN and Jeffery B. Latimer of Kansas City, MO; one grandson, John Joseph Latimer, IV of Manhattan, KS; one brother, John Joseph Latimer, JR; two sisters, Marybeth Backowski and Kathleen DeCataldo.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents.
