Konza Prairie Community Health & Dental Center is one of 18 community-based primary care clinics across the state that will share $500,000 in capital investment grants distributed by the Community Care Network of Kansas.
The CIG program funded by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment is an annual competitive process. Clinics must complete a detailed application and match the grant amount dollar for dollar.
Konza will receive $40,000 for use on an outdoor sign/ message center and indoor digital monitors.
"Konza Prairie Community Health Center has been afforded the opportunity to be a part of the CIG program for several years. This funding has enabled our clinic to expand capacity, improve quality, and increase access to services for patients in both Junction City and Manhattan locations," said Lee Wolf, CEO Konza Prairie Community Health Center.
Wolf noted that "digital signage inside and outside the clinic will allow Konza to quickly disseminate information patients need during a time when health information and recommendations are rapidly changing. People need to know where they can access services, what services are available, as well as important health information. We will use this opportunity to streamline and update our brand."
