Sunset Avenue to close for 1 week for Stratton repairs

Posted Aug 31, 2024 12:08 AM

According to the City of Manhattan starting Tuesday, September 3, the area around the intersection of Stratton Circle and Sunset Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic for repairs following an emergency water main break that occurred there earlier this month.

Through traffic will be diverted at Grandview Drive to the south and Anderson Avenue to the north, with only local traffic being allowed into this section.

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the plan is to begin the closure after school traffic has finished to the Manhattan High School campus on Tuesday morning, September 3.

This work is expected to continue through at least September 6, 2024.

Expect light to moderate traffic and some delays on Anderson Avenue, Fairchild Avenue/Terrace, Grandview Drive, Poyntz Avenue, Stratton Circle, and Sunset Avenue through this work period.
