Meda L. Hane, 93, of Junction City, passed away on September 27, 2022 at Valley View Senior Life Center. Cremation will take place. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4 , 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. directly after the visitation. She was born on October 31, 1928, in Junction City, Kansas to John and Lottie (Eggleston) Estes. She was the youngest of five siblings.
On October 18, 1958, she married William Hane in Gardena, CA. In 1964, they moved back to Junction City, KS, and raised their family. They had three kids; Linda, Kenneth, and William. She was a dedicated and hard working stay at home mother for her family. From 2000 to 2018, she worked in Sheridan Elementary School's cafeteria. She enjoyed being around the kids and considered all of the kids as her extended family.
Meda is survived by her loving her daughter, Linda (Alan) Kidd of Junction City, KS; two sons, Kenneth (Tammy) Hane of Leavenworth County, KS, and William (Sean Kidd) Hane of Louisville, KY; grandson, Alex Kidd of Junction City, KS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Hane; and four siblings, Laura, Betty, John, and Kathy.
