Big Lakes Developmental Center receives donation

MANHATTAN - Big Lakes Developmental Center was presented a check by kstate CREDIT UNION for $7,200.

kstate CREDIT UNION raised funds through their annual Skip-A-Pay Program. The program allows credit union members to skip their November or December loan payment for a $25 fee and a portion of the proceeds are then donated to a local organization.

“This donation truly comes from our members, and we are excited it is going to such an amazing organization in our community. Big Lakes provides so many crucial and empowering services.” LaRae Kraemer, kstate CREDIT UNION President/CEO says.

Big Lakes Developmental Center serves individuals in Riley, Geary, Clay and Pottawatomie Counties in Kansas. Their mission is “to deliver quality services that promote choice, independence and inclusion for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
