Beverly Blaha, 84, Linn, KS died Thursday March 30, 2023 at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS.

Visitation - Thursday, April 6 – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Ward Funeral Home in Linn.

Graveside service - Will follow the same day at 2:00 p.m. at Linn City Cemetery in Linn.

Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Blaha, Brennen Blaha, Trenton Blaha, Nicholas Blaha, Matthew Blaha, Jarod Blaha, Chase Blaha, Cain Blaha, Wyatt VanDorn and Derek VanDorn.

Beverly was born to Richard "Rocky" and Edna (Brown) Bourne in Concordia, Ks.  She graduated Delphos High school in 1956 and continued on to get her degree at Brown Mackie Business College in Salina, KS. 

On June 3rd, 1957, she was united in marriage to Frank Blaha at the First Presbyterian Church in Delphos, KS.  They moved to Linn in 1957 where they raised 4 boys, Michael, Mitchell, Marshall and Monte.  Frank preceded her in death in August of 2009. 

Beverly raised her family and began a career in banking at Linn State Bank and continued for 25 years before retiring as a vice president of Tri-County National Bank in Linn. She was an active member of the community and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Beverly and Frank shared their faith in the Lord and Savior with their children and grandchildren.  While retired, Beverly filled her days with many hobbies, loving sewing and quilting the most.  Beverly was most proud of her “Grandma” title and spent her life loving and caring for her family and she was most adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Rocky and Edna Bourne, Step mother, Dorothy, husband Frank Blaha, father of their children and second husband, Kendall Simcox; Brother, Bob Bourne; and step brother Marshall Ballard.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Kristy Balthazor) Blaha, Holiday Island, AR, Mitchell Blaha, Manhattan, KS, Marshall (Staci) Blaha, Platte City, MO and Monte (Angela) Blaha, Manhattan, KS, step brother Rod Ballard, Lincoln, NE.; Sixteen grandchildren, Michelle Fulton, Jessica Blaha, Joshua Blaha, Chase Blaha, Paige Blaha, Cain Blaha, Brennen Blaha, Trenton Blaha, Nicholas Blaha, Matthew Blaha, Jarod Blaha, Wyatt VanDorn, Derek VanDorn, Wyatt Alexander, Kendal Proctor, Aidan Proctor and 13 great grandchildren.  

The Frank & Beverly Blaha Memorial Scholarship has been established to benefit Linn High School graduates. Contributions may be sent to the Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
