Martha J. Minihan, 80, of Blaine, Kansas, died Saturday (February 17, 2024) at the Onaga Community Hospital.
Born August 17, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas, Martha was the daughter of Hugh and Irene (Firestone) Priddy. She married Joseph Francis Minihan on August 24, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2022.
Active in her faith, Martha was a member of St. Columbkille’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society of St. Columbkille. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She will be remembered for her fried chicken and her cake with her chocolate coffee frosting.
Martha was devoted to raising her family and helping on the family farm.
She is survived by her daughter; Karen Ebert (Kyle) of St. Mary; her sons; Joseph Michael Minihan of Blaine, Kevin Patrick Minihan (Cathy) of Blaine, Mark Allen Minihan (Carol) of Wheaton, and Gerald Francis Minihan (Christi) of Rossville; her thirteen grandchildren, T. J. Minihan (Fiance', Lindsey Ennen), Brooke Fronczak (Matt), Chase Minihan (Taylor), Kasey Minihan (Larissa), Cameron Minihan, Lane Minihan (Savannah), Wyatt Minihan, Wade Minihan, Molly Minihan, Garret Minihan (Coty Clifton), Breanna Wagner (Nathan), Eric Ebert and Jared Ebert; her great-granddaughter, Millie Jean and she was excitedly expecting a great grandson due in April. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry Priddy (Norma) of Peculiar, MO and Tom Priddy of Topeka; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis; seven brothers, Jerry Priddy, James Priddy, Stanley Priddy, Stephen Priddy, Michael Priddy, Richard "Craig" Priddy & Joe Priddy; and three sisters, Jacqueline Priddy, Kathy Priddy & Mary Jane Priddy
A Rosary prayer service will be held Friday morning (February 23, 2024) at 10:30 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Blaine. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Anthony Chendumalli officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Blaine.
The family will meet with friends at a visitation prior to the services Friday morning, from 9:30 until 10:30 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
