MANHATTAN - On September 26th, just before 10:00 p.m., officers with the Riley County Police Department were called to the 1000 block of Quivira Circle on the report of a 21-year-old delivery driver being tackled by an unknown suspect.
When officers arrived in the area, they began searching for the suspect. Officers remained on scene, and hours later the man returned and initially fled from officers.
With assistance from RCPD K9, Monster, officers were able to track the suspect to the 1800 Block of Hunting Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Twenty-one year old, Landen Bearce of Manhattan, was arrested on probable cause offenses of attempted robbery x2 and interference with law enforcement officers.
Officers also filed a report for attempted robbery in the 1800 block of Hunting Avenue when a 21-year-old male delivery driver reported an unknown suspect attempted to forcefully take items from him while delivering food.
Bearce was issued a total bond of $50,000 and was confined at the time RCPD released this report.
