Evans (Irwin) Phillips, 80, of Manhattan, KS, formerly of Queens, New York, passed away at 1420 Military time , Friday, August 5th, at Ascension Via Christi Health Hospital.
He was the husband of Pearl Cynthia (Mills) Phillips. July 21, 1998, Brooklyn, NY.
Evans was born in Arouca, Trinidad on June 1, 1942, a son of the late Pearl (Yearwood) and John Phillips. In Trinidad he was an Independent contractor and Electrician.
Evans is survived byseven daughters, Maria Shorter, of Manhattan, KS;
Daunia Phillips, of Brooklyn, NY; Genevieve Simmons, of Parkland, FL;
Josanne Archibald, of Dumont, NJ; Ashley Campbell, of Arima Trinidad;
Pearl Phillips, of Arima Trinidad; Kristie Phillips, of San Frando, Trinidad; a son, Dwayne Phillip, of San Frando, Trinidad; Evans is also survived by two brothers, Elton Phillips, of West Chester, NY; Peter Phillips, of Georgia. He is also survived by Sisters: Annette Osborne, Judith Bingham, Ester Dwyer, Audrey Jackman, Marleen Phillips, Patricia Hutchinson, Wendy Phillips, and Paula Wordsworth.

A Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17th at Temple of Peace with Pastor TM Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan, KS.
