William "Bill" Roberson

William "Bill" Roberson,72, of St. George, Ks won his fight with brain cancer on Friday, Sept. 16th, 2022, and entered into Heaven.

Bill was born in Hutchinson, Ks, upon graduation he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Navy, after 6 years of seeing the world on a Naval ship he returned to Hutchinson where he joined the Army Reserves proudly serving this great country, he went on to receive his master's degree and taught Science for over 20 years at the middle school on Ft. Riley.

His retirement was filled with hobbies, he always had a passion for nature, horses, all things cowboy, travel and art. Bill was a gentle giant with a heart to match, never too busy to lend an ear or help those he loved. He was a wonderful storyteller; his wit was guaranteed to make you laugh occasionally to the point of tears. His presence will be greatly missed but comfort is found in knowing his spirit lives on in all those he taught, called friend and his family.

He was proceeded in death by his father, mother and youngest brother.

He is survived by his older brother, Wayne Roberson of Hutchinson, Ks, niece Michelle Turley and husband (Joe) of Ft. Knox, Ky, and great nephew Joseph Turley Jr.

The family will greet friends during a visitation from 4:00 until 5:30p.m. Sunday September 25, 2022 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday September 26, 2022 at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Riley, 5181 Wildcat Creek Road in Manhattan.
