Ascension Via Christi updates visitation measures

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Ascension Via Christi will allow inpatients on its 3rd floor to swap out visitors and ER patients will be allowed two visitors.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan says it has updated its visitation measures as it continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. It said hospital leadership continues to be committed to protecting patients, visitors, caregivers and associates at the hospital and clinic locations in Manhattan.

According to the hospital, on Friday, June 11, patients in the inpatient medical, surgical and inpatient rehabilitation unit will be allowed two visitors that they may swap out. It said visitors will be allowed between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Ascension said the ER and outpatient surgery patients will also now be allowed two visitors.

The hospital said ICU and CCU patients will continue to be allowed two designated visitors during their entire stay.
