Details have emerged about a Friday night assault and robbery in Manhattan.
A little before 8 p.m. on October 8, the Riley County Police Department received a call from an employee at the Dairy Queen at 1015 N. 3rd Street The employee said that two individuals had forced their way into the building, making threats and brandishing a weapon.
Police reports indicate the two men were Cornelius Lee Sisson, 37, and Kenneth Durell Dotson, 38, both of Manhattan.
Sisson and Dotson then forced a man outside and battered the man as well as a female victim. Sisson and Dotson were arrested when previously dispatched officers arrived at the scene.
Sisson was arrested for two counts of assault and battery as well as aggravated burglary and criminal threats. His bond is set at $30,000. Dotson was arrested with for domestic battery assault aggravated assault violation of a protection order and aggravated burglary. His bail is $24,000.

Dotson was convicted of domestic battery in 2017. Sisson was convicted of attempted murder in Geary County in 2001 and multiple drug felonies in 2010. Both men remain in custody at the Riley County jail.
