The Flint Hills Discovery Center (FHDC) will present the 10th annual Meet the Makers event Tuesday through Friday, March 18 through 21. Each day a local creator, crafter, or maker will present live demonstrations of their work from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the first-floor atrium of the Discovery Center. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artists, ask questions, and see their work come to life.
Demonstrations will range from wood turning to wheel thrown and hand built and functional decorative pottery. Needle felting and monptype print making and collage are just some of the other exhibits.
Meet the Makers is free and open to the public. Those wanting to explore the exhibits beyond the atrium at the FHDC must pay the general admission fee. Some artists may have items for sale. More information is available on the FHDC website at www.flinthillsdiscovery.org/makers or on the Facebook event
