In loving memory of Terry Lynn Selock, a devoted husband, beloved father, and revered brother, grandfather, and friend who peacefully passed away on the 25th of January, 2024 at the age of 79.
Born on April 24, 1944, Terry led a life filled with love, laughter, and profound connections. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, wit and unwavering support for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife and partner Dona, his children Kimberly, Steven, and Jeffery, his brother Sam, sister-in-law Carol, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Terry was a loving husband to Dona, with whom he shared countless moments of joy and companionship for over 55 years of marriage. Together, they navigated life's journey hand in hand, creating a home filled with love, understanding, and shared memories. As a father, Terry was a source of strength and guidance. His wisdom, love, and tireless dedication to their well-being will forever be remembered. He instilled in them the values of compassion, hard work, and perseverance, leaving an enduring impact on their lives.
Beyond his family, Terry proudly served his country with honor and dedication. He bravely embraced the call to duty, exemplifying the values of loyalty and sacrifice during his 35 years of military and civil service. His service to the nation will be remembered with gratitude and pride by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us remember and celebrate the life of Terry Selock, a pillar of strength, a source of love, and a beacon of light to all who knew him.May he rest in peace .Funeral Services for Terry will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Abilene with Father Shawn Sherraden officiating. His final resting place will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery near Manhattan at 1:00 P.M., with military honors provided be Ft. Riley Honor Guard. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home.
