RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Manhattan teen for alleged sex crimes.
Just before 10a.m. Monday, Tyler Staatz, 18, turned himself in connection with multiple incidents involving a 14-year-old female victim known to him, according to a media release from the Riley County Police Department.
The offenses are said to have occurred around September of 2023. Staatz was jailed on requested charges of rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child; intercourse with a child 14 < 16 years of age, and indecent liberties with a child 14 < 16; lewd fondling.
Staatz was issued a total bond of $75,000 and is no longer in custody, according to the RCPD.
