As of early Friday afternoon there was a gap of only three votes in the race for the Third District seat on Riley County Commission. John Matta, Republican, had received 4,675 votes compared to 4,672 for Kathryn Grace Focke, Democrat.
Mail-in ballots can be accepted through Friday and there will also be the review of provisional ballots when the votes are canvassed at 10 a.m. November 16th.
