An unoccupied 2 story home in the 1900 block of Dunbar Rd is a complete loss after a house fire occurred before 6:30pm on Monday.

Riley County Fire District #1 received multiple reports of a structure fire with smoke and flames visible at 1911 Dunbar Road past the Manhattan City Limits in Riley County.

“Upon arrival, the 2-story residence was fully involved. Crews from RCFD#1 and Manhattan Fire Department conducted exterior operations due to the structural instability and fire involvement,” said Riley County Fire District #1 Deputy Chief John Martens.

Riley County EMS and RCPD also responded to assist during the early stages of the fire. There were no injuries.

An investigation was conducted, which provided inconclusive information due to heavy fire damage prior to the arrival of crews. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
