Casey James Moore, age 30 of Hammond, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born on Friday, December 11, 1992, in Manhattan, Kansas. The son of Laura Lamoureux Moore, Hammond, and Gregg Moore, Austin, TX. Casey attended Holy Ghost Catholic School in Hammond and graduated from Ponchatoula High School.
Casey was a bartender and picked up other odd jobs. He was known for his sharp intellect, unending curiosity, and incredible compassion. Even when he had little, he always wanted to help those who had less. He loved anime and fantasy games that required strategy, like Magic. He had a passion for music and by the time an artist was ‘popular’, he had moved on to uncover the next.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Mary Mullinix Lamoureux; and his paternal grandparents, James and Bessie Rose Moore.
Casey is survived by his parents; his sister and brother, Madison and Braden Greer; uncle, Anthony Lamoureux; aunt, Angie Mullinix and his grandmother, Diane Mullinix Lamoureux, and the Greer family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am until the memorial service begins at 11:00 am.
