Fort Riley Boulevard Asphalt Maintenance planned

The City of Manhattan announced that mill and overlay repairs to Fort Riley Boulevard from Poliska Lane to Westwood Road. will begin June 22.

This project is expected to last 1.5 to 2 months depending on the scope of repairs needed under the first layer of asphalt.Traffic.  Fort Riley Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Phase 1 will close the outer lanes and access to Westwood Road will be restricted, with a detour route available on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. 

Phase 2 will close the inside lanes and access to Westwood Road will become right in/right out only.Sidewalks in this area will remain open and accessible. 

The project will run  June 22 – late August (depending on conditions).

Funding will come frpm the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) City Connection Link Improvement Program (CCLIP) grant and Special Street Maintenance Fund.
