Joseph Lee "Joe" Beatty, 65, of Junction City, Kansas was lifted to his heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Cremation has taken place.
Joseph Lee Beatty was born January 18, 1958, to CSM (Ret.) Samual Junior Beatty and Virginia Lee Beatty in Hannibal, Missouri.
Joe was a busy and well-known man around Junction City. He was a carpenter for many years working in Geary County and contract work on Fort Riley. He also worked in the body shop at Jim Clark Chevrolet. A career that led him to opening and owning a body shop in Junction City. Joe's meticulous eye for detail was seen in both careers he chose.
Joe will always be remembered for his constant and infectious smile and laughter. When not busy working, Joe enjoyed music, fishing, playing cards and entertaining his many friends and family members a barbeques. Joe was continually active in the community as the Vice Commander of The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 45 and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Virginia Beatty of Junction City; daughter, Brandie Danner; grandson, Bobby Beatty, Jr.; two brothers, George and Mark Beatty of Junction City; one sister, Virginia (Beatty) Roberts; two nieces, Megan and Chelsea; nephew, Shawn Roberts; countless friends and extended family.
Joe is proceeded in death by his father, Samual Beatty; son, Bobby Beatty, Sr., and wife, Vickie J. Downey.
A service will be Friday, March 22, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery officiated by Pastor Will Ravenstein. Following the service at 1:00 p.m., the family and The Sons of the American Legion invite everyone to a Celebration of Life honoring Joe at the American Legion Post 45, 201 E. 4th Street, Junction City, Kansas.
