Herbert R. Mudd, 65, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on October 24, 2023, at Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan, Kansas. His family will bring him closer to his parents in Kansas City. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Herbert was born on November 4, 1957, to Herbert and Rose Mary (Brown) Mudd in Junction City, Kansas. He attended St. Xavier's High School and was on their football team for a year. After his high school years, he went to a trade school in Indiana for his master auto-mechanic license. He found a life long career at Jim Clark's Chevrolet, where he was an active employee for 30 years. Herbert was an all around sports fan from football to Nascar to battle bots. He enjoyed sharing these hobbies with his family and friends and always made them interested too. He was a private person in character, however, he still made time to keep in touch with the ones he cared about.
He is survived by his four sisters, Pam Rethman, Carol Hines, Pat Fredlund, and Chris Judd; one brother, Phillip.
