SHAWNEE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 8a.m. Saturday in Shawnee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Ford F150 driven by Zachary Alexander Obrock, 36, Topeka, was westbound on U.S. 24 Highway at Countryside Road. The pickup crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2006 Honda Civic driven by Robert Leroy Kidd, 85, Wamego.
Kidd was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to First Call Mortuary. EMS transported Obrock to Stormont Vail. The KHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
