Michael Jay Leasure, 84, of Manhattan, passed away Sunday, August 14, he was with the maintenance department at Kansas State University from 1966 to 1996 as a painter. Mike was born in Manhattan, KS on November 23, 1938, the son of the late Frieda Marie (Nixon) and Elden Emanuel Leasure, Sr. His companion, Kay Franks lived in his home with him for many years, until her death on March 21, 2019. Mike attended Manhattan High School. He is a member of the Seven Day Adventist Church in Manhattan. Michael is survived by his brother, Elden, the husband of Sylvia Leasure, Colorado Springs, CO, and his nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be announced at a later date.
