Numerous street maintenance projects for this year were reviewed for the Manhattan City Commission Tuesday evening.
Work on Denison Avenue will be completed and be open Friday. Houston from 3rd to 5th opened Tuesday although some landscaping must be completed. Walters Drive reconstruction will be completed in phases this summer and in the fall. Street pavement work on Allen, Browning, Candlewood and Kimball will be completed this year along with mill and overlay on Kimball.
Patching work is scheduled on Bluemont and between 4th and 10th on Yuma Street.
In June a 10-month improvement project will begin on Anderson Avenue. A KDOT project involving US 24 dual roundabouts will be done by the middle of next year.
A flyover project from I-70 to K-18 is ready to move forward.
