Jack Reboul

Jack Reboul, 96, of Clay Center, died September 13, 2022 at the Leonardville Nursing Home in Leonardville, Kansas.  He was born January 31, 1926, in Broughton (Clay County) Kansas. The son of Paul and Jennie (White) Reboul.  He married Eva “Jean” Blair in Mankato, KS on September 5, 1948. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2015. Jack is survived by one son Douglas Reboul and daughter Nancy Cooper, both of Clay Center, 5 granddaughters and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. 

Jack had a 30-year government career.  He started as a mail carrier and clerk at the Clay Center Post Office in 1955.  In 1972 he became Postmaster in Green, KS and was named Postmaster in Washington, KS in 1978.  He spent 2 years in the Army Air Corp. during WWII.  After retiring in 1984, Jack worked as the mail clerk in the Installation Detention Facility in Fort Riley, KS for 5 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion, National Association of Postmaster’s, and was a charter member and past Exalted Ruler of the local Elks Lodge. In addition to his wife Jack is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Joe.  

There will be no visitation and a private family inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery will take place at a later date.
