POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Wednesday in Pottawatomie County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Chevy City-Express van driven by Odessa E. Richardson-Williams, 24, Manhattan, was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of U.S. 24 just east of Fort Riley Boulevard.
The driver did not yield in the center crossover and struck a 2005 GMC Sierra driven by Austin L.Cisneros, 36, Manhattan.
EMS transported Richardson-Williams to Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan. Cisneros and a passenger in the pickup were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP. There was one juvenile passenger in the van at the time of the accident; Juvenile record is protected data, according to the KHP.
