UPDATE from RCPD: Riley County Police officers were called to G. Thomas Jewelers around 1:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon on the report of a theft which had just occurred.
Three unknown women entered the store posing as customers, acting as if they intended to make purchases. The women asked for the items to be wrapped.
While the items were being wrapped the suspects slipped items off the counter before leaving the store under the understanding they were retrieving identification from their vehicle.
Four rings, a pair of earrings, and a bracelet were stolen, worth approximately $26,800.
G. Thomas Jewelers provided Little Apple Post with a quick cell phone video of the security camera footage of the three women entering the shop.
Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

MANHATTAN - On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 21st, three women entered G. Thomas Jewelers in the 400 block of Poyntz Avenue, posing as customers.
The three women allegedly stole $10,000 worth of merchandise before leaving the business in an unknown direction of travel.
G. Thomas Jewelers provided a quick cell phone video of the security camera footage of the three women entering the shop.
A report has been filed with the Riley County Police Department about the incident, more details will be added as they are released.
