Fort Riley issued a statement via social media on building maintenance during the current cold snap.
Due to extreme cold through this holiday weekend, building maintenance is a concern. Building Managers are advised to conduct periodic checks over the weekend with a special focus on unmanned facilities.
On-Post residents of homes or barracks can take following actions: Keep exterior windows & doors closed, close blinds or curtains, open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors, disconnect outdoor hoses, allow inside faucets to drip 5-10 times per minute. Report issues with govt facilities to DPW at 785-239-0900 or Corvias facilities at 844-533-0456 (or the appropriate neighborhood office).
