Fort Riley’s Trooper Access Control Point Will Remain Closed

Posted Jul 25, 2024 3:57 PM

Trooper Access Control Point, which provides one of the access points to Junction City from Fort Riley, has been closed for construction and will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

The 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley have determined that the Trooper Access Control Point (ACP) will not reopen at this time. This decision is based on military training and personnel requirements. The Grant ACP, which provides access to post from Junction City via Grant Avenue, will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The command continues to monitor traffic patterns and flow through all gates and will reassess the closure at a later date.

The information was provided by the Commanding general of the 1st Infantry Division, Maj. Gen. Monte Rone during the Military Affairs Council Breakfast in Junction City on Friday. Trooper Access Control Point is just north of Junction City.
