Dean Morris Roe, age 96 of Manhattan, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Via Christi Village in Manhattan.

He was born on November 8, 1925, in New Cambria, the son of William and Olive (Scott) Roe.&nbsp; He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 until 1946.

Dean was a switchman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years.&nbsp; He loved farming.

He is survived by his sister, Doris Ruthstrom of Leonardville and one nephew and several nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Billy Roe, Pat Roe and Fritz Roe.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating.&nbsp; The family will receive from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the cemetery on Monday.

A memorial may be made to Via Christi Village and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
