Starting this week Bayer Construction will reduce Dickens Avenue to one lane between College Avenue and Westport Drive where stormwater and limited pavement improvements will be constructed. This project will last until mid- to late February 2025, depending on weather.
The project will be phased to maintain one open lane for traffic rather than a full street closure. However, users of this segment of Dickens Avenue should expect some inconvenience and delay during the construction period. During this first phase, westbound traffic will be able to continue on Dickens but eastbound traffic will need to divert to an alternate route.
Dickens will not be fully closed during this project, but there will continue to be shifting lane closures throughout the work zone, so watch signage carefully to be aware of possible changes as you drive through the affected sections.
