WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) – a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations – today announced a $4,750,000 federal investment for the Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus to develop an aerospace simulation center.
“K-State Salina is leading the way in training pilots, and this federal investment will help the Aerospace and Technology Campus expand its learning opportunities,” Moran said. “Training the next generation of pilots will make certain our aviation industry continues to meet the demands of air travel and transportation.”
These federal resources build on a corporate investment from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. Moran participated in the announcement of the $10 million investment in 2022.
