RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement investigating a series of vehicle burglaries in Manhattan have made an arrest.
Over the past two weeks, Riley County Police Department has responded to over 25 reported vehicle burglaries, according to the department activity report.
On Tuesday, police arrested 19-year-old Alexander Darnell of Manhattan in connection with some of these incidents.
Darnell was arrested requested charges of vehicle theft ($1,500-$25,000), interference with an LEO, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/ or certain stimulant x 2, burglary- vehicle, and use/possess with the intent to use drug paraphernalia.
Total bond was set at $19,000. Darnell was confined at the time of this report.
