Glenn Patrick Niess, Sr., of Manhattan, died March 15, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi Village in Manhattan.

He was born October 6, 1961, in Bay Shore, New York, one of nine children born to Robert Mathew and Rose Marie (Pezzanite) Niess.

Glenn grew up in New York, and had lived in Long Beach, California, for many years before moving to Manhattan in 2007.

He worked for the Water Department while in California and in Manhattan was a handyman for many homeowners.

Glenn had a soft spot in his heart for animals and loved to have his pet cats and dogs in his life.

Survivors include his two sons: Glenn Niess, Jr, and Zackery Niess both of Manhattan; and one granddaughter Lyla Marie Niess.

Cremation is planned with private family services.

The Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS, 66592, is assisting the family with arrangements.
