Vickie Schneider, age 78, of Manhattan, died June 20, 2023 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.
She was born on June 29, 1944 in Clay Center, Kansas, the daughter of Clayton and Pearl (Gennet) Robinson. She grew up in the Clay Center area, attended local schools, and graduated from Clay Center Community High School with the class of 1962.
Vickie moved to Las Vegas and lived there for 25 years. She enjoyed a successful career in the Las Vegas real estate industry while raising her family. She moved back to Kansas in 1996. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing work in the garden, and spending time with her pets over the years. She was blessed to have many family members visit her in her final days and it provided her peace and comfort. She had a special relationship with each member of her family and enjoyed every moment with them. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of the Good Shepherd Hospice House. She was treated with professionalism, compassion, dignity, and respect during her stay.
She is survived by her sons, Lane Schneider (Melissa) of Orangevale, California and Todd Schneider (Tina) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren: Jeremy, Brittany, Christopher, Drew and Eden; her siblings: Donna Birmeier, Connie Terrian (Rick), Lanny Hess (Sherry), Rick Hess, Gary Robinson (Beverly), Bill Robinson (Kathy), and Lisa Schwartz.
Vickie’s wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
The Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502, is assisting the family with the service arrangements.
