RILEY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 6a.m. Sunday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Subaru Legacy driven by Shikeem T.. Johnson, 26, Colorado Springs, Colorado, was westbound on Interstate 70 approximately two miles west of Tallgrass Road. The car rear-ended a 2023 Peterbilt semi driven by Ralph S. Wilson, 61, Euless, Texas, who was pulling off onto the shoulder.
EMS transported a passenger in the car Nichole T. Johnson, 24, Colorado Springs, Colorado, to KU Medical Center. Both drivers and a 5-year-old passenger in the car were not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
