Elaine Rita Everhart, age 90, of Manhattan, died June 10, 2023, at her residence.
She was born March 20, 1933, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank and Myrtle (Rizzo) Giorno. She was raised and baptized in the Catholic Church.
She was married to Richard Raymond Meyer in 1960 in Chicago, IL. They divorced in 1974. She later married Gary Everhart in 1984, in Arizona, and he preceded her in death in 1991.
Elaine graduated from Proviso High School and earned her Medical Coding Certification.
She worked in home health for the Mesa Lutheran Hospital and then in medical equipment sales.
Elaine was a longtime volunteer for hospice.
She loved to dance to country music at the V.F.W and Eagles, enjoyed knitting and loved all animals.
Survivors include her three children: Eileen Ann Meyer of Manhattan, Theodore Michael Meyer of Mesa, AZ, and Paula Schmitt and her husband William of Manhattan/Burlington Illinois; and three grandchildren: Joshua Travis Meyer Phoenix, AZ, Faith Elizabeth Meyer of Scottsdale AZ and Tyler Jaymes Meyer of Manhattan.
Elaine was also preceded in death by her three siblings: Joseph Giorno, Tomasine Brannan and Frank Giorno.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 7th at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home. At 6:15 Steve Galitzer will lead those who wish to participate, in the Mourner's Kaddish.
