Annually, the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce presents a report on regional growth from the past year to the City Commission. The report provides an update on business attraction, expansion, workforce, entrepreneurship, and tourism services delivered under the City’s contract with the Chamber.

The Chamber noted 10 projects announced in 2025 expected to create 544 jobs and $46 million in investment, as well as progress on the Manhattan Growth Plan through housing initiatives, updated incentive structures, implementation of the city's new permitting and licensing software, targeted lead-generation efforts, and expanded regional site assessment work.

Tourism also remained strong in 2025 with more than 3 million visitors, and military relations programming continued to support City–Fort Riley partnerships. The report also outlines growing activity in talent development and entrepreneurship. Participation increased across workforce programs such as the KEEP Tour, Classroom to Career, and the MHK Summer Intern Program, supported by partnerships with MATC, K-State, and local employers.

Innovate 24 expanded its services by adding staff, enhancing technical assistance, and coordinating with partners—including Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills—to support entrepreneurs and administer small-business loan programs, with more than $1.5 million in approved loan funds since 2024.
