HILLSBORO - For the second year in a row, the Manhattan Eagles football team has won the Kansas Approved Schools Championship(KASC) game.
The Eagles travelled to Hillsboro on Saturday to take on the Wichita Warriors for the championship game.
The Eagles won the match-up with a score of 52-6 over the Warriors.
Leading the Eagles was Corbin Goff with 280 yards rushing, 5 touchdowns, 2 tackles and recovering a fumble following a goal-line strip.
Other leaders on the team include:
-Conor Mericle with 44 yards rushing, 1 touchdown and 2 tackles
-Francis Rutledge with 56 yards rushing and 3 tackles
-Brecken Wertenberger with 39 yards rushing, 1 touchdown, and 3 tackles
-Luke Zimmerman with 11 yards rushing and 7 tackles
-Harrison Corn with 6 tackles
-Noah Thurman with 6 tackles
-Isaac Amerin with 26 yards receiving and 5 tackles
Luke Zimmerman was named MVP of the KASC Championship game.
