Helene Osif, 87, of McFarland, Kansas, formerly of Colorado, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at her home.
Born July 15, 1935, in Los Angeles, California, Helene was the daughter of Clement Aloysius “Gabe” and Elsie June (Huntley) Gabriel. She married Robert Edward Osif on January 7, 1956, in Glendale, California. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2011.
Devout in her Catholic Faith, Helene earned a certificate in Comprehensive Biblical Studies from the Catholic Biblical School at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary.
Survivors include four children, Kevin Osif (Cindy) of Castle Rock, CO, Jeffrey Osif (Julie) of McFarland, KS, Patrick Osif (Sheri) of West Pueblo, CO and Debra Osif of McFarland, KS; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Helene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Robert Michael Osif; a brother, William Gabriel; and a sister, Elizabeth Crumley.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of the Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
Private services and inurnment will be in the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
